School Clothes Make a Difference, a nonprofit organization that maintains a "kids closet" for social workers throughout the school year, seeks new members and business representatives, as well as donations. For more information, call Karen, 407-352-0264.

Ongoing - Supplies Needed
Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando seeks school supplies, including wide-ruled paper, pencils, pens, glue sticks, notecards, binders, scissors, highlighters, erasers and personal-care items, for families in need. Supplies can be dropped off at one of the following JFS locations: 11184 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando; or 2100 Lee Road, Winter Park. Financial donations also are accepted. Save the Manatee Club sponsors the Adopt-A-Manatee program, from which individuals can "adopt" a manatee and receive an adoption certificate, photo, life history of the manatee, and information about this endangered species. Real Living Real Estate Solutions seeks donations of wireless cell phones to benefit survivors of domestic violence. Donated phones are refurbished, reprogrammed with emergency phone numbers, and redistributed free of charge to victims in need. Phones can be dropped off at 6401 Raleigh St. in MetroWest. Sept. 18 - Rummage Sale Fundraiser
Dr. Phillips High School's boys basketball program hosts a rummage sale at the school, 6500 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando. Oct. 9 - Fundraiser Walk
The PKD Foundation hosts a one-mile walk in downtown Orlando's Lake Eola Park, 195 N. Rosalind Ave. Registration is free; however, walkers are encouraged to raise $100, with proceeds benefiting polycystic kidney disease research and advocacy.
