A Strong Talent for the Art of Taste
With nearly 20 years of experience in the wine industry, Dino Roussia began a love affair with wine as a young man in the hillsides of France. With the chateaus of Bordeaux and Avignon as a backdrop and an appreciation for epicurism in the community, it is there that he developed his strong talent for the art of taste and the intrinsic connection between wine and food.
As the wine director and sommelier at The Vineyard at Cascades of Isleworth, Dino is responsible for the procurement and development of the wine collection that is at the heart of the fine wine shop and bar. He also presides over the various educational programs The Vineyard has instituted within the community, including its innovative “Vineyard University.” He also manages the private tasting and cellar-development programs for Vineyard customers.
Dino Roussia, wine director and sommelier at The Vineyard at Cascades of Isleworth, began his love affair with wine as a young man in the hillsides of France.
Throughout his career, Dino has focused on providing extraordinary service, great creativity and outstanding wine-education programs to all his customers. His encyclopedic wine knowledge has grown steadily since his early years, and all of his industry experiences have culminated in his continual focus on helping customers evolve their tastes, expand their palettes, and enhance their personal wine collections.
Dino has made countless appearances at The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and as a wine-culture lecturer at The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota. Prior to his role at The Vineyard, he served as the lead wine buyer for Publix Super Markets and Gooding’s.
Dino graduated from the University of Rennes, France, with a degree in linguistics. However, with great charm and enthusiasm, he fosters a wine culture far removed from the stuffiness and snobbery that once seemed endemic to the wine industry.
