Ongoing — Bereavement Support-Group Meetings
Hospice of the Comforter offers support-group meetings for adults who have lost loved ones to suicide. The free groups meet bimonthly in Ocoee, Windermere, Altamonte Springs and East/Central Orlando. Aug. 24 & 31 — Mental-Health Support-Group Meetings
Recovery Inc., a self-help mental-health program for people affected by nervous conditions, depression, anxiety or other emotional problems, holds support-group meetings in Classroom 1 at Dr. P. Aug. 25 — Prostate-Cancer Support-Group Meeting
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute — Celebration Health hosts Prostate Smart — Cancer Education & Support meetings. Time: fourth Wednesday of each month from 7-8 p.m. Seating is limited, and reservations are required by 4 p.m. the Wednesday before each session. Dinner is provided. Aug. 26 & Sept. 2 — Female-Caregivers Support Dinners
The West Orange Christian Service Center, 300 W. Franklin St., Ocoee, hosts support dinners for female caregivers seeking a place to share, develop new interests and renew their energy through humor.
